i agree with almost everything about this. except about the new show runners. we know basically nothing about them. how do you know that they don’t give a shit about community or community’s fans?

Yep, sorry, that definitely came out a lot harsher than I intended. This situation has brought out these weird, confusing, almost new step-parent complex feelings in me. Like, I don’t care if they’re the nicest guys in the world, I just want my dad and I’m screaming at my mum that I hate her and I’m going to go live with dad…and Dan Harmon is not my father…this just got weird, didn’t it? I made it weird. 

What I meant to get across, but didn’t, I should have expanded a bit more instead of saying that the new showrunners wouldn’t give a shit, is that their feedback to all our fannish things won’t be the same as what we get from Dan Harmon. How could it be? They didn’t create Community. They haven’t lived with these characters for over three years. These characters won’t be as personal to them as it would be to someone who created them. And that’s what I’ll miss. But that being said, there’s still the writing staff and the cast and they always re-tweet stuff fans make. (And I don’t mean this in the way of “Woohoo, Dan Harmon retweeted that music video I made of Abed using The Avalanches Frontier Psychiatrist. Sweet Validation! If anybody needs me I’ll be rolling around in all these internet points, booyah!” - although, not gonna lie, that is kind of awesome - I’m just completely in love with the mutual lovefest that melds the show and the fandom together).

Side-note: writing about Dan like this is getting kind of creepy. I’m just waiting for him to tweet something like, “guys, calm down, i didn’t die. chevy said i’ll live to at least 57.”
